General setup

The Doc. Merge Setup page is the central configuration hub for Ventoo Document Merger. Use it to enable or disable the feature for specific document types and configure global behavior.

To open the setup page, choose the Search icon (Alt+Q), enter Doc. Merge Setup, and then choose the related link.

Sales Documents Active

Enables document merging for all sales document types (quotes, orders, invoices, credit memos).

Purchase Documents Active

Enables document merging for all purchase document types (quotes, orders, invoices, credit memos).

Auto Rebuild Active

When enabled, the document list is automatically updated when attachments are added to or removed from a document. Learn more at Auto-rebuild.

Reminder settings

Reminders Active

Enables document merging for issued reminders.

Attach Invoices to Reminder

When enabled, outstanding invoices referenced in a reminder are automatically rendered as PDF and attached to the issued reminder. Learn more at Reminder handling.

Note The Attach Invoices to Reminder setting can be overridden per customer on the Customer Card. The customer-level setting uses a three-state option: Default (uses the global setting), Yes (always attach), or No (never attach).

Suppress Inc. Doc S.Invoice

When enabled, incoming document attachments are not included when sending sales invoices by email. This is useful when incoming documents contain internal information that should not be shared with customers.

Global Rules

Opens the global rules list where you can view and manage rules for all document types.

Report References

Opens the report reference template list.

Static Documents

Opens the static documents list where you can upload and manage pre-defined documents.

Create Default Configuration

Creates default global rules for all enabled document types. Note: The setup record and report reference templates are already created automatically during installation. This action focuses on creating global rules. Learn more at Assisted setup.
