Install Ventoo Case Management

Installing from AppSource

1. In Business Central, open Extension Management.

2. Choose Get more apps and search Microsoft AppSource for Ventoo Case Management (publisher Ventoo).

3. Install the app in the desired environment and company.

Alternatively, your partner can deploy the app as a file (.app) in a sandbox.

What happens on install

On the first per-company install, the app's install logic automatically sets up a minimal, safe base configuration. No user-specific sample data is created – the actual configuration is handled by the setup wizard.

Created automatically:

• Dimension priorities – nine entries for the three contexts case creation, activity creation, and invoice line. They control which source dimensions are merged from.

• Billing profiles – four default profiles: T&M-IMMEDIATE (Time & Materials, immediate), T&M-MONTHLY (Time & Materials, monthly), FIXED-PRICE, and MILESTONE. T&M-IMMEDIATE is set as the default profile if none is set yet.

• Business relation – the code CASEMGT in the BC business relations and its entry in the general settings. Contacts with this relation are kept in sync with the party list.

These base values are set idempotently: existing entries are not overwritten.

Next step

Open the Case Management Setup page. The first time you open it, the setup wizard starts automatically. Continue with Initial setup of Ventoo Case Management.
